I have a memory from when I was six where I fell asleep playing hide and seek. Eventually, my mom came to pick me up and I went on with my life, but I never remembered waking up. So, for years, I went about my life thinking I was dreaming and would wake up one day. But I never did and here I am. And, oddly enough, I’m living my dream, so somehow we’ve come full circle. The short intro is, I’m Amy, mom to 9, wife to 1. I teach parents how to rest in the grace of Christ, to parent more gently (like Jesus, the gentle shepherd), and homeschooling parents how to breathe, chill, relax, and find peace in their homeschool. I’m all about minimalism, laughter, less is more, creating a soul-soothing, heart-mending home environment, and coffee. Duh.

Simple Little Amy came about when I needed a handle on Instagram. I had changed my name about a thousand times the first year of my account and I didn’t like anything. I had tried being creative, clever, unique, cute, like, literally everything. Nothing fit. I was really just simple little Amy. So that’s what I wrote. Simple Little Amy. After a couple months I was regretting the name, because how many times can you walk into a store and have someone say, “It’s Simple Little Amy!” Seriously annoying. But, people were starting to know me by the name, it was being published in various publications, and there was no turning back. I became Simple Little Amy for good. So, now I just own it.
